Online Coaching FAQ

No, Online Coaching is not a live recording workout session. It is a one-on-one holistic coaching that is done through “TRANSFORM With Wayne” mobile app. It is aimed at helping you achieve your specific fitness goals through customized exercise program and nutrition plan. You get to track your workouts, meals, sleep and habitual tasks on the app. In return, you will get feedback from your coach directly on the app and scheduled video call. Of course! Due to the virtual nature of Online Coaching, you will be carrying out the exercises on your own. There are written and video instructions on the app for you to learn, therefore the ability to follow instructions is more important than experience here. The difficulty level of your program is tailored to your experience and comfort level, and the coaching process will help you gain confidence progressively in handling weights. 

It all depends on your goal, and we’ll decide on this as we discuss your goals, options and preference during our first call. Having access to some equipments in the form of free weights (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells) or machines such as available in a gym setting would be ideal to keep challenging yourself as you progress with time. In many cases, home equipments and body weight routines are also possible.

Typically, we’ll stick to an exercise program for 8 – 12 weeks before reviewing and switching it up. Within that period, we will focus on improvement in technique, training volume, intensity and adherence (consistency) as these are the real factors that drive progress.

The beauty of Online Coaching is that since we’re working together one-on-one, your program is flexible in that it can be updated at any time to account for factors such as joint discomfort, changes in work schedule, equipment availability etc. 

 

The rate at which this will occur each week is highly dependent on your workout performance. Therefore it is important that you log your workouts as you go so that I can monitor the data and respond to your unique changes.

As you will have everything you need in the mobile app, including access to your coach, you can continue to work on your food intake and exercise during your travel as long as you have internet connection.

You can also discuss with your coach prior to your work trip or vacation, and it is possible to switch to a temporary routine should you decide to continue to put in some work during your travel.

Optimally 3 to 5 days, with sufficient rest days in between. Your routine will be tailored to your time availability and experience level, and the recommended minimum is 3 days per week.

Exercise is just one part of the equation to transforming your body. By doing exercise (or diet) alone, progress will be limited.  You have to combine regular exercise with proper nutrition to provide your body with the nutrients and energy it needs to build muscle and burn fat. Through Online Coaching, you will be educated on your calorie, macronutrients and portion targets for your goal, and coached through behavioural changes to make better food choices that will help you reach your nutrition targets. We will go at your pace, the end goal is to make sure your new eating habits are sustainable, and that you can carry on with it for the rest of your life.

How fast you’ll start seeing results depends on many factors, primarily the consistent effort that you put in to your workout, nutrition and sleep. If you’re even 80% compliant to your exercise program and nutrition plan, you will start seeing physical changes within 3 months.

My Online Coaching service is borderless as it is 100% virtual. You can sign up regardless of where you live in.

Once your application is accepted and you agree to sign up with a Plan:

If you live outside of Malaysia, you will receive a Stripe payment link where you can make your payment securely (only monthly recurring payment is accepted). Your currency will be converted during payment.

If you live within Malaysia, you have the option to use bank transfer. You will be given the bank account details in your monthly invoice and your fees will be due monthly from the date of first payment. 

You will be given a reminder in the final week of the active month. If payment is overdue, access to the mobile app and the Online Coaching services will be temporarily suspended.

You may write an email to me to request for the cancellation of my Online Coaching services at least 2 weeks before the expiry of the active month. This is to allow sufficient time to process the cancellation of auto-debit on your card (for international clients) for the monthly recurring payment. All services will be honoured until the end of the current active month.
